18 January: Formula 1 Testing - Jerez - Day 7 - Valencia - Day 2

Testing continued at Jerez today with Williams and Honda joining McLaren and Toyota at the track.

Jenson Button in the interim Honda V8 set the fastest time of the day ahead of Jarno Trulli and Anthony Davidson.

Button's time was a 1:18.398.
Anthony Davidson covered the most number of laps with 133.

Both the Toyota cars had problems, Trulli had a clutch sensor problem while Ralf Schumacher suffered a gearshift problem.
McLaren's test driver Gary Paffett spun off in the morning without damaging the car.

Running again started late allowing for the track to warm up. Weather conditions were cold but sunny. Air temperature reached 16 degrees while track temperatures reached 23 degrees.

McLaren have concluded testing at Jerez. Toyota, Williams and Honda continue testing tomorrow.

Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, Day 7, Day 8, Day 9

At Valencia, the new BMW Sauber F1 team continued their private test session. Nick Heidfeld driving the F1.06 set the fastest time of the day with a 1:12.440. Team-mate Jacques Villeneuve gets to drive the F1.06 tomorrow.

Testing continues tomorrow.
